Jack Butcher, 12, who attends Stagecoach Dorking, is the latest student to be cast in the hugely popular production of "Oliver!" at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. When he joins that prestigious company, he'll also become part of another illustrious group - those students from Stagecoach who, between them, have appeared in every single West End musical where there are children in the cast.
Jack, and currently 6 other boys [some have recently had their contracts renewed], are just the latest to appear in "Oliver!" During recent times the Stagecoach Agency has also secured roles, some of them main ones, in "Les Miserables", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Mary Poppins", "The Lion King", "The Sound of Music" and "Billy Elliot".
But it's not just on the West End stage that Stagecoachers have triumphed. During the last two months other theatre credits have included appearances at The Globe and in the national tours of "Les Miserables", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "The Sound of Music", "Carousel", "Quadrophenia", "Macbeth" and "Thriller" in which 11 year old "MJ" Mytton from Stagecoach Wolverhampton plays the young Michael Jackson.
Stagecoachers are nothing if not versatile.
