Stagecoach Ireland Main Schools are usually held at weekends during term time, although some schools do hold weekday evening sessions. Suitable for children and teenagers aged between 6 and 18 years, these weekly 3 hour sessions are split into three groups of similar ages, where the groups rotate to do one hour of singing, one hour of dance and one hour of drama. Youngsters gain confidence, self-esteem and learn to express themselves creatively and effectively. The skills learned do not disappear when they come off stage, they are skills for life.
All of our classes are run by professional dance, drama or singing teachers, many of whom are working in show business, and all are background checked by the Garda. However, Stagecoach Ireland is not just for natural performers, it is also for those who wish simply to gain confidence and enjoy learning the skills to sing, dance and act. The Stagecoach ethos is to enable children and teenagers to grow, at their own speed, into effective human beings. At the same time our caring and talented teachers and Principals make sure they keep their feet firmly on the ground.
The performing arts curriculum is broad, enabling students to experience a wide range of styles and skills.
Dance classes improve coordination and technique and give kids the opportunity to learn contemporary pop and street dance routines along with musical theatre ensemble pieces.
In drama classes, young people will explore their creativity through various skills including improvisation and role play. They will start to improve vocabulary, social awareness and communication skills.
The singing class will introduce students to different rhythms and tempos in music allowing them to challenge themselves with a wide range of songs while improving technique and vocal ability.
Fun is an essential element of any programme and Stagecoach has learned one truth over many years: Children love to achieve and they like to do so in a disciplined environment.
At Stagecoach we don't set out to create fun, the students do that for themselves.

Early Stages is designed to introduce young children aged 4-6 years to Stagecoach.
