Our School

Stagecoach Kildare is the newest Irish School for Stagecoach. It started in September 2009 under Principal Mariclare McMahon. Stagecoach runs on Saturdays from its Kilcullen base and is currently accepting students from all surrounding areas including, Newbridge, Naas, Athy and Kildare. Mariclare has already almost 20 years experience in education and the performing arts, including running her own Drama Schools in Dublin and Kildare.
What is Stagecoach?
Students enjoy 3 hours training each week in singing, dance and drama. Students rotate round their classes in age appropriate groups of no more than 15 students. Our classes are challenging and exciting, and cover suitable material for all ages and level of experience. The small class sizes enable our teachers to get the very best and focussed work from our students. As the class sizes are kept small, and places are offered on a first come first served basis, we have found that our fledgling school is already proving popular, and we haven't even started yet!
Our main school, for 6-16 year olds, runs from 10am until 1pm every Saturday morning. We also have an Early Stages class for younger children, which is held alongside our main school. Our Early Stages class is a wonderful way to introduce children aged from 4-7 to the Performing Arts and covers the basics of singing, dancing and acting over 90 minutes (30 minutes lessons of each discipline). All student at Kildare will be taught by fully qualified professional performers and teachers.

What to Expect
We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment where children can receive quality training in the performing arts, whilst enjoying the classes with old and new friends. Each term Stagecoach welcomes new students of all ages and abilities. Many children join us with no previous experience and all we ask is that they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Stagecoach students thrive in an environment where creativity is nurtured and technique and style are developed each week. We teach students to act, sing and dance and then watch as they become more confident, poised and self-assured. These skills do not end when the curtain falls, they are skills for life!
