Stagecoach Ireland Early Stages sessions are designed to introduce young children aged 4-6 years to performing arts. Developed specifically to the needs of pre-school and junior infant school children these sessions allow us to nurture raw talent and enhance the learning, development and creativity of young people. We provide kids with a safe environment to grow and stretch themselves in small class sizes (15 maximum) alongside encouraging and inspiring those children whose confidence needs building.
Running for 1.5 hours, the Early Stages class is split up into three 30 minute sessions, where young children learn performing arts skills through singing, dancing and drama classes:
Singing classes -
Young kids are introduced to how sounds are made and formed, and start to experiment with their voices. Children get the opportunity to develop rhythm, timing and pronunciation, alongside learning popular songs from films and shows.
Dance classes -
Working in a group, children learn fun and contemporary routines, helping improve coordination, spatial awareness and balance, while developing strong motor skills.
Drama classes -
Through role play, storytelling and improvisation, kids get to stretch their imaginations and experiment with words. Their interaction with other children in the group teaches them social skills such as giving, taking and sharing.
Parents receive individually written reports on their child's progress twice a year.
When children get to the age of 6 or 7 years old (depending on individual circumstances) they would usually move up to the
main Stagecoach school which will accommodate the child's further development and skills.
