Drama, Dance and Singing Classes in Clare

Welcome to Stagecoach Clare

A welcoming word from our Principal John Lucey
Since 2009, we have created a lively and vibrant Friday centre after school in the wonderful facilities of Cois na hAbhna in Ennis. My colleagues and I are thrilled at its success. We welcome all boys and girls as long as they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Our unique singing, drama and dance classes give children creative life skills to complement school. We recently performed our own special version of HORRIBLE HISTORIES, an exclusive partnership with The Birmingham Stage Company and 35 Stagecoach centres around the world! We are a big enough network to make it special every Friday but small enough to treat children and teenagers as individuals.

Our highly popular summer camps may be booked with a 50 euro deposit by credit or debit card today on 091 556274 and non Stagecoach students are very welcome!

Due to popular demand, we have an exciting TEENAGE EXCLUSIVE WEEK FOR 12 TO 18 YEAR OLDS WITH A FAME JR SUMMER CAMP running 4th to 8th August!

Please call Eliz or John on 091 556274 or 087 0508127.

Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

90 minutes each week during term time.

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

3 hours each week during term time.
OUR SCHOOL

Welcome to Stagecoach Clare at Cois na hAbhna in Ennis!

We opened in April 2009 and our proud of this successful centre in theatre training for children and teenagers. We offer quality, professional dance, drama and singing classes under one roof on the same day. Stagecoach is complementary, yet independent of normal academic study and offer a fun, caring space each Friday after school. There are no auditions, two week trials for new children and all that's needed for dance, drama and singing lessons is enthusiasm! We offer guaranteed small classes, material appropriate for your child's age and stage at just 10 euro per 1 hour lesson.

We have tried to take all elements of a professional full time drama school and adapt and make it fun for 4 to 18 year olds. This creates a lively and buzzy FRIDAY FEELING!. Parents and children feel that electricity!

We take our training seriously but this is not a sixth day of school. Our aim is to give students wonderful memories, fantastic new skills and make every Friday evening special.

OUR TRAINING
We offer fun and challenging modern jazz dance classes with a focus on fitness, spacial awareness and co-ordination. In drama classes, we encompass a wide range of work from imaginative improvisation, mime, commedia del arte, text based work as well as LAMDA speech and drama exams. In singing lessons, we specialise in styles from chart, classical and a bias towards musical theatre is a must at Stagecoach. Our singing teachers equip students with a tool box of pitch, vocal range, resonance, breath control and articulatory agility while having tremendous fun at all times!

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
We offer two annual presentations for family and friends and do not charge parents for end of term shows. We were proud to be part of the Choir for the 25th Anniversary of Stagecoach at the NIA Birmingham and the interactive, international virtual choir too. We have fundraised and performed for numerous local and national charities over the last five years and have been featured on Clare FM and local and national newspapers also. We have been involved with two award winning films with NUI Galway and GMIT giving our students wonderful access to quality acting for the screen classes also.

HOW TO FIND US
We are based in state of the art facilities of Cois na hAbhna on the Galway Rd, Ennis with ample parking and a "family friendly"parents waiting room on site.
We also have a magical "secret garden" for our Early Stages students to play in when the summer term comes! Our venue is a 350 seat theatre in the round with conference rooms for our classes and next door to Ennis Educate Together School.

Stagecoach Theatre Arts has been running for over 26 years and is a trusted brand thanks to our dedicated and professional teaching staff, our amazing partnership and performing opportunities and the positive results we see in our students as they develop with Stagecoach. Our belief that the experience of performing gives children a sense of belonging, wellbeing and confidence. Many of the skills we teach at Stagecoach are transferable so, as you can see, there's so much more to Stagecoach than singing, dancing and acting! We believe in the power of imagination and creativity. Please remember that Stagecoach is a registered trade mark, (so if it does not say Stagecoach on it's sign, it can't be a Stagecoach Theatre Arts School)
